Twitter's removing "Twitter for X" labels? Here's how it just made the platform worse.

Twitter for iPhone. Sounds like a social status and a nightmare for Android phone companies when accidentally tweeting from their iPhones. Well, that's until Elon decided to remove it because he thought it was a waste of space and compute. But we feel removing it just makes the platform worse, especially in terms of spam, automated engagement, and disinformation. How can you tell real vs. automated posts on Twitter? How do you tell a cyborg (real × bot) account? Real quick before the labels are deleted from our devices, I'd like to point out a recycled developer named Madza. You'll notice that his Tweets and Replies are full of recycled Twitter threads. Yeah, they're recycled as you, as a software developer, might already know some of his "interesting facts" even years before his thread. And it's definitely a red flag to see that he very rarely responds to thousands of incoming comments from people he "engaged" with, or should I say, just happen to be algorithmed by Twitter. From that little, "space-wasting" piece of information, we can already see that he always uses a third-party engagement platform named FeedHive. And of course, FeedHive denied our claims that people like him use FeedHive's amazing, AI-powered tools for raising their number of likes, comments, retweets, and followers. Hiding this info from the public just made the platform worse. Now we can't tell which Tweets were made by, for example, a ChatGPT AI instead of real humans. For security reasons... These labels are also a good way of identifying things like misinformation and possible cyber attacks happening on third-party apps. For example, a third-party app accidentally leaked their Twitter API keys, and all the users' Twitter Authorization Session keys, which can be exploited to promote things, such as scams and malvertising. Or in case you still don't understand: let's say that you've authorized a third-party app to Twitter, including posting on behalf of your account. These credentials are stored online and the app was suddenly hacked. In this case, we could help investigate whether things like this could occur, by scanning Tweets for the same info used to mock Android companies for using iPhones. Our plans. Even if stubborn Elon would not listen to our advice, we will still support the inclusion of this tag on many federated social platforms. Mastodon is one of the early adopters for this, and we'll proudly support the inclusion of the same feature in Misskey and Pleroma as well, for security purposes as well as promoting diversity and inclusion of Fediverse clients and apps.

Can I become a Christian VTuber?

Hey Shift, I recently saw some Christian people becoming VTubers, and there's some discussion over Reddit for the ethics of these. Since I've seen you and your friends are currently investing in VTubers, what are your stances about this? Answer Well, it's okay to be a VTuber, but remember that: You shall treat your virtual identity the same as your real self You shall not represent yourself as a son or daughter of animals, from the fierce ones like the dragons even to the cute ones like the cats You shall not bound your identity to the devil, death, hell, angels, forms of magic, myths, as well as the isekai you might have dreamt about You shall not bound your identity to anything deemed as occults and witchcraft in the real world, such as charms, potions, and amulets You shall not deceive every person by making them attracted to you because of your marked-up personality instead of your true one Your purpose is to be the true salt and light of the world, not ratifying yourself as a sensually attractive virtual person for the purpose of fanservice Because you are a child of God, not a child of Japanese idol culture. Many VTubers definitely fail the above criteria for obvious reasons. Some are daughters of foxes and cats, while some claim to be vampires. Many, many VTubers intentionally name themselves with Japanese names because they idolize the Japanese idol culture, and they just wanted to have fun in their version of Isekai. Well, if you wanted to have yourself a VTuber life, remember that you still should do this for God. There are still some valid reasons, though, like online privacy and stuff. The above guidelines should already enough to keep our VTuber life as holy and honest as possible.

Supporting Faldi and Yudhi Satrio by stop listening to Levels' advices.

Starting today we decided to support two Indonesian tech workers, Naufaldi "F2aldi" Rafif S and Yudhi Satrio by stop following and reading someone's advices through his blog posts and Twitter account. The person in question is Pieter Levels, an award-winning multiple tech startup founder who thinks everyone should eventually move into Portugal. I was a secret fan of him, until now of course, as well as some of his friends who are eager in founding tech startups. And why? I'm actually amazed with his stance on async work, "unreachable" policy, and of course, Portugal. For those who have never heard about the word I'm going to say it right now, we consider these people as indiehackers. They are individuals building tech products mostly by themselves, then launch dedicated companies, especially to contain marketing and customer support teams for their products, then get some funds from venture capitalists and repeat! There's nothing wrong with indiehackers at all, and we have some of them in Indonesia, like Frans Allen with his brother who created a simple "ID card watermarker" app who gained some local media traction. Yes, for a simple web app which I can actually made it in just 3 hours. And you may be asking, why do we want to write a dedicated post to announce this, even though we could just do that privately. Sure, we could do that, but we still wanted to have our stance, both regarding the case and our support, written here. The context. It's the same case when the Indonesian parliament would like to penalize sex outside marriage with 1 year of jail. The law will also be applied to foreigners. So he complained. That's it, and as some Indonesian people with some initial degree of respect to him started commenting, he decided to lock his Tweet and block these people, F2aldi included. Yes, Indonesia still have many retarded government individuals and institutions, in terms of corruptions, all the "personal intentions" of being the government, monoreligion enforcement, and, just look at the PSE enforcement thing. But in terms of sex outside marriage, as prided by people to be compliant with Indonesian moral values, I can't help anymore but to say sorry and goodbye to the person I've previously considered interesting and inspiring. I have my own religious and spiritual stances on things like the decentralization of the Internet, and in this case, I'll support the new law. As always, that's it, I'm going back to work. This time under a new, revolutionary, non Levelsian way of work. Thank God I have my own.
