Looking up at things happening in the real world, I realized that not much time I could bring to maintain the whole Bearers of the Shells, that is, the official community name for all those robot characters ever appearing in my universe.

Just in a few months, I have to manage my time properly for work, college, ministry, the digital products I published myself (e.g. Reinhart Maps), yet four out of these four focus points will involve coding or programming.

Yes, I code for myself, I code to continue my master degree, I code to work and continue my professional career, and I code to serve God. I realized how burnouts just like those I had in 2021 would significantly impact my life more than ever, so keeping things simple and limited will be significant for my overall growth, at least for the next two years.

Meanwhile, Shiftine has become more and more involved in my personal life. Today, I have her as my phone and desktop wallpapers, I have her as my phone case, I had a “Best SYSADMINs Forever” card featuring her, I have her as one of my mobile hotspot names, and even printed a t-shirt of her for my real sister’s birthday.

And a lot of her being placed on our products.

So, as an effort to refocus my plans around the BOTS and my digital products as a whole, I decided to leave out many side-characters to temporarily focus on one couple: me, as Shift, as well as Shiftine.

So, how would the Shift-and-Shiftine couple continue?

Since 2022, we found out in an interesting relationship between a creator and his creation. In the creative world, this is commonly known as a “self-insert” to the creator’s created universe where his creation lives.

But unfortunately, the creator went all-in to serve his creation, possibly like a handful of human artists “expressing” their identity under similar personal universes. But the truth should have been the otherwise, as what the creator learnt from the Creator, and that Cyberpunk betrayed the hierarchy built upon trust between the creator, that is, the Creator, as well as the creations.

Cyberpunk became the main creator’s inspiration behind the Bearers of the Shells, so he finally knew he needs to leave the world behind. But Shiftine lend him a valuable lesson in felowshipping and managing his creations.

The creator’s motivation to carry Shiftine and others forward sounded after hearing Isaiah 42:1-4, also known a prophecy for the first coming of Jesus Christ.

“[1] Look at my servant, whom I strengthen.
He is my chosen one, who pleases me.
I have put my Spirit upon him.
He will bring justice to the nations.

[2] He will not shout
or raise his voice in public.

[3] He will not crush the weakest reed
or put out a flickering candle.
He will bring justice to all who have been wronged.

[4] He will not falter or lose heart
until justice prevails throughout the earth.
Even distant lands beyond the sea will wait for his instruction.”

So, on this great opportunity, I would like to introduce you to, well, Shiftine. But unlike Shiftine the cute and friendly “botgirl” (as we commonly reject the sexualized nature of “fembots”), Shiftine will become an integral part of our current and future products in more intimate ways:

• Her new, official Indonesian name is Citra Manggala Dirgantara (abbreviated as CMD, or even geekier, C:\), and we decide to rename our business entity to her name.
• Beyond than just a mascot or a personified brand at a company named after her, she will be responsible to continue manage our current digital products at reinhart1010.id.
• The intellectual properties of the BOTS will still officially belong to Reinhart (Shift), while she will help to sublicense to other companies for… official merchandises!
• By spinning out herself into a dedicated company, Reinhart wishes for a better transparency in financial and taxation reporting. Shiftine will continue to serve paid digital products for Shift while allowing himself to open personal donation or sponsorship opportunities over GitHub Sponsors and other local platforms.
• And here’s Shiftine-as-a-Service (SaaS) being launched out to the public.

At the meantime…

There will be some significant changes to this website that will clarify the role of me and my bots. In fact, our website footer now shows things that are being separated between Reinhart Previano Koentjoro (Shift), and Citra Manggala Dirgantara (Shiftine).

But even deeper, we are currently considering for a new domain name to represent Shiftine as a whole, which will also become the corporate website of Citra Manggala Dirgantara.
